1. Presentation of the service

PrépaCivile is a Québec platform designed to strengthen individual, family and community resilience to emergencies and disasters. The service includes:

• One information website : https://prepacivile.com
• One mobile application : PrépaCivile, completely free

The application includes emergency family planning, real-time follow-up, alert management, crisis log, and emergency preparedness.

2. Acceptance of conditions

By accessing the website or using the PrépaCivile app, you agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions of Use (GTC).
If you refuse these conditions, you must not use our services.

3. Conditions of access and registration

• Minimum age : The application is intended for persons of 13 years and over. A young 12 years can be used with an adult (parent, guardian or manager) who creates and supervises his/her cell. The accounts of young minors remain under the responsibility of that adult.
• Authentication : You can use PrépaCivile in a way anonymous, or secure your account with an email address to keep your data in case of device change.
• Cell code : Each cell (family, neighbours, team) is identified by a unique code. Anyone wishing to join must know this code, and their membership must be approved by the administrator or the owner of the cell. You may be part of several cells.

4. Authorized use

You undertake to:

• Use the application and site in accordance with applicable laws
• Provide accurate information when registering
• Respect other users and administrators
• Do not compromise the security of the service (attempt of intrusion, circumvention of rules, etc.)

5. User Responsibilities

You are responsible for the use you make:

• data entered in the application (e.g. emergency numbers, photos, gathering points)
• alerts sent to your relatives or members
• the content you publish (texts, documents, images, positions)

PrépaCivile will not be liable for misuse of the application or misinterpretation of the displayed information.

6. Limitations of liability for PrépaCivile

PrépaCivile is a tool assistance in preparation, and not a formal government alert system.

We do not guarantee:

• continuous availability of service
• the accuracy of alerts or data entered by users
• Real-time receipt of notifications (depending on network, device and permissions granted)

7. Intellectual property

All content (texts, icons, logos, features, documentation, design) is the exclusive property of PrépaCivile.
Any reproduction, adaptation or commercial use is prohibited without prior authorization.

8. Changes and updates

We reserve the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
The updated version is always available on the site prepacivile.com
The continued use of the application or site constitutes acceptance of the changes.

9. Suspension or termination

We may suspend or delete your access to the application without notice in case of:

• of non-compliance with these conditions
• fraudulent, malicious or unethical use
• attempt to interfere with the safety or functioning of the service

10. Applicable law and jurisdiction

These conditions are governed by the laws in force in the province of QuebecCanada.
Any dispute relating to the interpretation or enforcement of these conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the judicial district of Montreal.

11. Privacy Policy

The collection and processing of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy.
By using our site or application, you acknowledge that you have read this policy. Some optional collections, such as usage statistics, remain subject to separate and explicit consent, requested separately in the application.
