A structured starting point, to be adapted according to your profile, your context and the equipment you already have.
An evacuation bag covers the essential needs of the first 72 hours: water, food, heat, shelter, care and mobility. This function-based kit provides a baseline in each of these areas. It is designed to be completed with the material you already own or with our other kits.
Where to start : First follow safety instructions and assess medical needs, mobility, temperature and access to water. A 72-hour supply is a cue for preparation; no purchase order is suitable for every situation.
How to use this page : Each section corresponds to a preparation function. Browse them in order or directly through the section you are missing. The content adapts to different contexts: home, vehicle, family, winter conditions.
Purification of water
First, prepare a supply of drinking water and the necessary containers. A filter or treatment should be chosen according to the possible contamination and its limits; not all of them correct chemical pollutants or salinity.
Food
Objective: transportable calories, long shelf life, minimal preparation.
Kitchen equipment
Cook, boil, heat - the functional minimum to turn raw rations into meals.
Fire
A means of ignition is only useful in a place where its use is authorized and safe. Prioritize clothing, rain protection and a welcome solution. Never operate a combustion stove in a building, vehicle or tent.
Accessories
Organization, repair, comfort - the small elements that often make the difference over time.
Rain Protection
Staying dry means staying functional - and preventing hypothermia, even in mild and windy weather.
Tarps and tarps
Quick shelter, wind and rain protection, floor insulation: a well-chosen tarpaulin is one of the most versatile elements of the kit.
Hygiene
Hygiene and health are linked: infection prevention, comfort maintenance, morale management in prolonged situations.
Comfort
Comfort is not an accessory: it preserves mental energy and the quality of recuperative sleep.
Emergency kit
The minimum useful: management of bleeding, wounds, pain, blisters, prevention and protection.
Lighting
Light and energy autonomy: safety, night mobility, reading, interventions in the dark.
Signalling
Be seen or heard: useful in case of breakdown, accident, evacuation or search and rescue.
Taking note
Coordinates, instructions, routes, readings: the paper completes the digital means and must be protected from water.
Tools
Repair, cut, tighten, improvise: versatility and compactness above all else.
Express checklist - 72 h
To be validated before leaving, in this order of priority :
Water: purification medium + containers
Heat : fire + shelter (tarp) + rain protection
Food : simple, stable, without complex preparation
Care : first aid kit + basic hygiene
Light and signal : lighting + means of signalling
Tools : Versatile minimum
This base can then be completed according to the profile: winter conditions, urban context, vehicle, home with children or animals.
